The Old Fox - Lord Lovat's Private Whisky
Legend has it that the infamous 11th Lord Lovat brewed a whisky so potent that it gave his clansmen's extra strength and courage before charging the English in the first wave at the Battle of Culloden, 1746. Each Lord Lovat since has relied on a private reserve to bring strength in times of need.
The Old Fox is the 18th Lord Lovat, 25th Chief of Clan Fraser's personal whisky. In honor of his ancestor, the great Hogarth etching of the 11th Lord Lovat is on the label, and gives the whisky a unique character among the otherwise austere world of scotch whisky. He was one of Scotland's greatest rogues, and this is undoubtedly a rogues whisky! If the Old Fox ever met a famous grouse he would eat it.
The Old Fox is currently not for sale, but by appointment only. Lovat welcomes interested parties joining the Fox mailing list for information on future developments:
