Since its founding, the Clan has dominated local politics and been active in every major military conflict involving Scotland. It has also played a considerable role in most major political turmoil. The Clan today remains as strong as it has ever been, despite the Lovat family hardships in the mid 90's. In the 15 years since, the Lovat family has only gone from strength to strength.
